It’s my granddaughter Abby in her cooking class at the second floor building,  Zehrs Community Room. Kids who are 3 to 5 years old can register. Since Abby is 5 she try to learn how to cook rainbow cookies. All the kids had fun and enjoy preparing rainbow cookies.

Here’s the ingredients:

1 cup sugar (250ml)
1 cup butter, softened (250ml)
2 cups flour (500ml)
1 tsp vanilla (5ml)
1 egg
food coloring at least 3 colors

Method:
1. Mix sugar, butter, egg and vanilla. Add flour and mix well.
2. Divide dough into 3 balls.
3. In 3 separate bowls, add a different food coloring to each bowl and kneed dough until mixed well.
4. Roll each ball in a snake shape onto a floured surface.
5. Arch snake shape and press onto cookie sheet. Add the other coloured snake shapes until the rainbow is formed.
6. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. When cooled let each child taste a piece of the rainbow.
